此前篮网送出欧文、马基夫-莫里斯，从独行侠得到丁威迪、芬尼-史密斯，2029年无保护首轮签，2027&2029年次轮签。
名记Tim MacMahon此前也曾表示，篮网计划在交易截止日前（2月10日凌晨4点）继续寻找改善球队阵容的机会，不过他们在交易谈判中提供的是此次从欧文交易中得到的选秀权，以及76人的2023年首轮签。
